Secure Email Project

http://ezinearticles.com/?Using-Secure-Email-is-Crucial-For-Any-Business&id=3313320

It is very important for all companies and different businesses in today's technological age to be aware of different ways to secure their email systems which are set up for employees to communicate the companies private informations. Even though computer hacking is illegal, it is sometimes hard to catch hackers who can cost a company millions of dollars if they were to get into a email system. This why it is really important for companies to set secure email systems. It is also important in regards to employees who are let go by a certain company, since with secure email system this employee that is release can be easily adjusted to where information does not reach that individual no more. Another importance of secure email is toe prevent hacker from hacking into computer while using public WiFi, which known to have many hackers and is difficult to keep secure. Establishing secure emails system is definitely a must for companies to operate safely in todays world.

Week:14 clear

This will be the last weekly post I will be making for this class and I'll have to say its been fun doing all the projects and learning so many important things that I will be able to apply in the real world. This week present a variety of information about storage device, virtualization, and many more. Yet again, the information provided help me to better understand computers and its usage, as well as knowing how to fix problem related to it and using them to their out most potentials. During this week, I also had to complete the Secure email project, which was something so simple but very important to know in the business world. I will say that i enjoyed this class, since i learned so much that I could apply in my future careers.

Week:13 clear

This week was a very interesting week as we covered information regarding security risk associated with computer and internet usage. Some of these risks include internet and network attacks, unauthorized access and use, hardware theft, software theft, information theft, system failure and wireless security. Committing illegal acts on the computer can have great consequences. An individual can be fine major money and can be also convicted to serve jail time according to the extent of the issue. Its is very important for people who use a computer along with the internet be informed about these different risk since they might be violating it themselves, but also so they can know how to better protect their computer.

Database Project

The database project was the hardest of the projects dust far. I thought it would be easy since I previously thought that Excel was the most difficult application out of all Microsoft Office, and also since i never used or had any back ground information on how to manage Access. The basics skills i learned was how link to and from database,as well as how to create a table, query and report in Access. Even though Access had easier functions than Excel did, because of the wizard, creating a query alone took it over the edge to be harder than Excel. There still need to be a lot of more work so I can better master Access.

To help enhance when I utilize database again, I would like to know how to connect it with Excel better and using different feature like graphs and charts to give a better understanding of the information. Picture and visual aspect are good feature to have so that would definitely enhance things.

Week:12 clear

This week was very interesting with dues to amount of work I got done this whole week. I worked on several extra credit opportunities and also the database assignment which was the toughest assignment yet. I really did not to expect this assignment to be so difficult since i was able to sort of breeze through the Excel assignment. Everything I did got intertwine with one another so it felt like i was working on one big project. I should definitely work in advance because this was really a work load.

Excel Project

The excel project was definitely the best and most rewarding project I think we have done thus far. Even thought I took previous classes like CGS 2531 here at the University of Florida, there was one thins which did not get the chance to learn which was pivot tables which help me to really realized the greatness of Microsoft Excel. In this students had to applied several basics techniques which we acquired either maybe from previous classes or from the lectures or information provided by our ISM 3004 course. Some of these basic helped me to walk through the Excel Project with not very much hassle. The information that was present on the Excel sheet, was about 500 different subjects how heart rate was collect for each minute of 20 minutes where they worked out for 15 minutes and cool out for 5 minutes. Being able to use diferent things such relative and absolute cell addressing, helped me to make calculate values for 500 different people with in seconds, once a function was put into a cell.If I wanted to find the maximum heart rate for each person, I could easily enter a function such as =Max(I3:AC3) for one person, then drag down to calculate everyone else's, which is done in seconds.
Over everything I learned about Excel, there are two things which I think are absolutely amazing. These two things are the "IF" functions and Pivot Tables. "IF" Function are function which does a logical test, and then it yields a specific answer if it is true and then yields another specific answer if it is false. Her is and example: =IF( [any number]> 0, “positive”, “negative”), in the test if a number is greater than zero it will yield the answer that it is a “positive” if it is false it will yield that it is “negative”. The amazing thing about this and excel itself is that you are able to use this for a large amount of information.Pivot tables is another amazing thing i learned. The way pivot table work it thats it takes a BUNCH of information and magnifies it to specific categories, where could get different results as far as the sum, average, count, min, max, etc, of those categories. This capability is easier to see, than to explain because it is really something that work wonders.Overall I enjoyed the project, and I would really like to learn more about Excel.

Week 10: clear

This weeks information is something I truly plan on carrying over to once i start working in the real world of working. I came to realize how amazing the excel sheet really was even though I was told previously by previous professors and even friends that it is something you should really know how to use because knowing this well could basically get you a good job. I took classes like CGS but I guess I would not accept how great this program was until I learned about pivot table which is very awesome. I really do plan on learning this program to its fullest because I know it would be help full to what I want to do in the future.

Week:9 Clear

In this week information, the scavenger hunt assignment was a pretty good assignment to refresh my mind on the different operations and function of using Microsoft Excel. The basics of using formulas in Excel is that you always have to remember to to start of with the equal sign. followed by the equal sign the you can got is finding different mathematical calculation using a variety of different things possible in Excel. You can find the sum, difference, average, max, min, and the list goes on. This weeks information reminded me how powerful the Excel spread sheet can be. Other than Mathematical calculations you can also use Excel to find logical test, where is something is true you get it to yield an answer for the truth and if its false will yield and answer for the false. The scavenger hunt was the most exciting information we covered this week.

Week 7: Clear

The information provide this week, covered a variety of information under the topic of operating system.I learned the differences between an application software and systems software. Application software are those things on your computer which helps you complete different task on your computer and includes Microsoft Word, Photoshop, calculator and etc. As you can see these different software can help you create different task from writing a paper, to calculating something and to creating some type of picture art. On the other hand, system softwares are those programs that enables your computer to run smoothly as a collective unit, and some includes Microsoft Windows XP Professional and Norton Antivirus. This information was the basic introduction to this weeks information, so from then on all the information followed was pretty much easy to understand.

Jeremy Vincent Move From NYC to Orl at OneTrueMedia.com

Take Survey After:http://jvince.questionform.com/public/-My-Media-Story-Survey?preview=1&page=1

The reason I choose survey is to get better feedback on how people truly felt about my video. They will be anonymous so this will allow them to be more honest. I decide to not use comments because is felt like I would only get response from people who might like it but no response from people who do not like it, so i think survey was the better choice between the two.

This Project was actually very informative on different things to make multimedia projects. I have learned about many different websites where you can access to that will help you make different videos or slide show. There is a lot of work that goes into making this slide show, it has more features than power point will normally have. This information is very beneficial because I know now if i ever wanted to market my business of project in the future this is easy and cheap way to get it done.

Week 5&6: Clear

This week, the most important thing was the information i received from the Web 2.0 project. The project was actually very informative on different things to make multimedia projects. I have learned about many different websites where you can access to that will help you make different videos or slide show. There is a lot of work that goes into making this slide show, it has more features than power point will normally have. This information is very beneficial because I know now if i ever wanted to market my business or product in the future this is easy and cheap way to get it done.

Week 4: Clear

This week covered a variety information about application software and multi-media. From software licensing to the lifecycle of software, there was something new and information which i could take away from all of the different information. One of the most interesting topics that i was able to take away from this weeks information, was on the subject about legal software. Whats exactly is legal software? Well legal soft ware is a computer application that can provide contracts and legal documents for small businesses, but also for personal use, which means myself or any individuals can take advantage of this. There is a wide spread of very important documents that are provided and offered by it which includes wills, living wills, health care power of attorneys and power of attorneys. It alo extends as far as providing real estate documents for landlords, tools for employers and you would not believe this one but divorce documents as well. You can get this software from multiple retails outlets and online websites which distribute them. This is something I'm extremely happy to learn because I know I will use it.

Week 3: Clear

The internet is filled with countless of different websites where you can find information which may or may not be true according the the type of websites and the context it holds. For many of the different variations of websites available on the internet, there are some where which provides the best quality content that the internet surfer is looking for, while there are other with poor quality content which might not be up to par of the web surfers expectations. Usually the internet websites with the most accurate and best quality content are those that are well established, has a names for it self, and has some type of credence to back them up. Usually those websites that are personal based sites usually consist of many opinions and might not be the most dependable website in regards to actual facts. week 2: clear

This week, we went into talking about how important and beneficial computers are for us today and in the future. Today 5 year old children are able to use computer while 30 years ago scientist were the only one able to use these complicated machines. This is basically being Computer literate, where an individual has the basic knowledge and understanding of computers and their uses. Computer fluency, however, is more in depth than just having basic computer knowledge. The main two and most important part of a computer is the hardware and software. What exactly is the Hardware? This part of the computer is composed of the electronic and mechanical aspects of a computer which includes printers, scanners, monitors, and speakers. The software and the other hand is like the brain and processing areas of a computer which involves running  programs and the instructing the computer how to do different things and hot to run properly. Some software example includes utilities, operating systems, and applications. Compared to long ago when computers were rally big machines today you can find computer in many different smaller forms. There are the home personal computer, laptops, hand held phones, and so on. The computer fist came around in 1964 when it was first used as a multiplying machine.  As time continues it became more and more advance to where its at today. Can you imagine that the computer started of as a calculator?  The next addition to the computer was the first arithmetic calculator in 1820. Skipping some the computer really started to take it toll in a period called the Dark ages of the computer world. These were period in the early and mid 1950s where first computer had many wires, used vacuum tubes, were very power and space hungry, very heavy, and got very hot. IBM was the leading manufacture of computer during this era. Then there were the middle ages of the computer world. Here marked when more programming languages came and smaller. Now, computer chips were beginning to show up everywhere, including watches, cars, and microwaves.  This era last until early 1990, which was then after became to be the Present age of computers, which need not explanation and can be see in our everyday world and is a necessity in our lives. Through so many changes of computer we can se how far this great machine have come, can't imagine what computers will be doing for us in the near future.

week 1: clear

During this week's information, all the information provided was very clear and understanding to me.  The internet to was a like an online library where information seems to be an endless resource, and of course one of my favorite place to find information was at Google.com. When searched for something on google, millions and millions I needed to find anything, I went straight to google.com and typed what I was looking for in the of URLs will show up thought the many pages available (page 1,2,3...60), which all had some relative to what my search was. With google being my favorite, I'm still familiar with those other search engine such ass Yahoo, Ask.com, aol.com, bing, there many other which I have not too in dept. There are search engines you can use like Hulu, where you can find information that more specific and critical. Search also varies by categories since there are search engines strictly for books, some strictly for movies, and some strictly for videos and some strictly for even clothing/shopping. Next time you plan of using a search engine, think of one other than google to get exactly what you are looking for In this weeks information is also talked about Netiquette, which are the set of rules that govern behavior on the Internet. We have all heard about proper etiquette, which is having good manners, being polite and professional in some cases, but Netiquette is something that most of us have properly never heard about. From taking different class at UF such as Management and entrepreneurship, I came across this word netiquette, which teaches you how to be polite when it. comes to using the web as a form of communication. Netiquettes is most needed for communication on the web because, sometime words can be read and taking different since there is not sound and body actions to help it out. Some of the most important things about netiquettes are not using all upper case most which is always taken as being yelled at. When using the computer to communicate next time just remember to use the proper netiquettes. One last this that was very interest the week was the information provides about the Copyright laws. The Disney video, had to be one of the most creative ways of providing information about copyright, and we all know that they are one of the biggest companies which people still their work with out the proper authorizations. There many different things you can get copyrights for which includes, music, movies, photos, an idea, books, theory, words and the list goes on. Using some else work with out their permission will be breaking the copyrights law and this can have serious repercussion such as jail time. Being a student surprisingly has is perks because many things that are copyrighted is considered "Fair Use" for students, since universities are granted permission to use many different works from people.
